The Durds began as an outlet for songwriter Daniel Cray, encouraged by his friend and occasional collaborator Michael Parker. They put out some vinyl on Eeriephone and a full-length album on Banazan (co-produced with Pete Westaway).
Richard Parker, Jon Robson and Dan have drawn various covers.
Dan sometimes works alongside visual artist Felicity Shillingford. Performance artist Janet Griffiths has also worked with the Durds.
Al Fresco Skronk Squadron is the art noise counterpart to The Durds.
Dan is a member of Preston Street Union, an Exeter-based affiliation of artists.
